EDYN is entering Early Access!
I'm delighted to announce that EDYN will now be launching into its Early Access phase! The game will be completely free to play, with no pay to win mechanics. I'd like to thank all of the dev team for working insanely hard over the last few weeks in order to meet today's target deadline. Over the coming days and weeks we'll be watching the sever performance very carefully, and gradually increasing the concurrent player limits accordingly. We'll be tuning gameplay balance and pacing in response to the EDYN community feedback. Myself and the team can't wait to jump into the fist new world servers alongside the community. We hope you have a blast playing and look forward to having many great battles over the coming weeks and months!

Founder's Pack DLC
Today we're releasing the Founder's DLC, this is a means to help support our ongoing development and server maintenance costs. We'd be eternally grateful for anyone willing to take a look at that! In return for the purchase, we're granting the following goodies:
- Unique equippable props for every inventory socket for all factions - 24 in total
- Extra appearances for all factions during the character creation process
- Founder's title
- Founders will have priority in our queue should our servers become full
- Ongoing rewards for future expansion factions
- Founder's pack will be discontinued once we reach v1.0
Launch Patch Notes: 21/11/2024
Thanks again to all the folks that took part in the previous closed alpha. The feedback helped to guide all of the below!
General
- We've implemented our first iteration of the 'Communication Centre'. This introduces the ability for a player to add friends and also engage in 'Diplomacy' with other players, allowing you to visit their War Room and talk 'face to face'. Over the next few days we will expand this to include the ability to form Alliances with private lobbies.
- We've polished and overhauled our battle report system following feedback from the public Alpha testing. Recruited units now have health which is adjusted in battle. 'Deployed' and 'Lost' reflects the number of units that entered and failed to survive battle accordingly.
World Map
- We've expanded the functionality of the mission banner to include incoming hostile or supportive missions from external players.
- The mission banners are now fully integrated with the watch tower range and therefore will only display once in the detection radius.
- We improved the ground collider to enable the camera to dynamically 'glide' over raised terrain.
Settlement Scenes
- We've given a facelift to the building nameplates. They are now colour coordinated with the player's faction and have better visual fidelity and tooltips.
- The scaffolding animations have been reworked so that the building animations more closely match the building progress. There's a new particle system implemented too.
- If you look closely in your settlement, you might notice that you have some guests!
Gameplay
- Siege weapons must destroy Walls before they can hit the buildings within.
- A colonise attempt must now defeat at least 90% of the defending army (as well as reduce the HQ to level 1) to capture.
