When left for a time, bones placed atop this altar seem to pull any moisture out of the arid winds and live again. In this way, nothing goes to waste in the desert. The rehydration of husks found amid the dunes is a sacred process that cannot be hurried. The Withered do not need to eat in the traditional sense. Instead, they subsist upon witnessing life restored.
